In Defense Of The World’s Most Polarizing Elf

There are people who have fun with their Elf on the Shelf. There are people who overdo their Elf on the Shelf. And then there are the people who want to see Elf on the Shelf burn at the stake and watch as his immortal, evil soul rises from his ashy corpse so that they can bottle it in a mason jar and bury it in the deepest, darkest cave on Earth so that it’s never heard from again. Which one are you?

And Baby Makes… 5!

For those who are wondering, Jessica and her family welcomed her beautiful baby girl into the world on Monday. Mom and baby are doing well. Keeping me laughing these days..

Well friends, I am officially 2 days past my  due date.  My dear friend told me that if this child is anything like me and I expected her to arrive on time I should have told her that her due date was November 15th. To prove that it’s never too late to do -well, anything, really- they decided to change that. For their anniversary gift to each other, they had their wedding portraits taken together and the result is the best thing you’ll see all week.   Seeing the energy, love, and dynamic between the two of these crazy kids, I was inspired to find more couples who have withstood the years. I’m just in awe.       Love is hard, no matter what the movies tell you. That’s just the reality. But it’s worth it when you have the right person by your side. Cheers to love.
